Last Sunday, we attended the christening of JR and Michelle Pineda-Pastoril's first baby. Michelle (of the
Michelle Pineda Photography) is one of my bestfriends who I often refer here in this blog as Pineda. Dalawa kasi silang Michelle eh. So to avoid the confusion, we call them Pineda and Arnaiz.
Anyways, here's the very cute christening invitation:
Michelle told us godparents not to be late so 1030am pa lang, present na ang pamilya Sombrero sa Magallanes Church. Lol!
Outfit of the day:
 |
| ME: Top from the NBC tent bazaar, Mango jeans and CMG wedges. ANIKA: Gingersnaps top, H&M leggings and Meet My Feet shoes |
The christening room of the Magallanes Church is beautiful. They have their own airconditioned area, complete with a wall mural of Jesus' baptism with St. John the Baptist and a water feature where the priest will pour water on the baby's head.
The Magallanes Church has already been renovated. Natural light pours inside the church. No wonder a lot of couples want to get married here.
Maeko (pronounced as May-ko) slept while waiting for her turn to be baptized.
Her cute dress was made by the shop of her great grandmother =)
 |
| So very pretty! |
Aside from Anika, there was also this cute baby girl present to witness Maeko's baptism. Ava is the daughter of one of Michelle's friend, Jenny.
 |
| Hi Ava! =) |
The family that were having the baptism before us were taking forever to finish. We all patiently waited inside the church. The guests were going gaga over cutie pie Maeko who had just woken up from her morning nap.
Anika and Alvin got tired walking around the church so they also rested =)

The guests while waiting for our turn.
I made tambay outside the baptism room because anong petsa na, nagpipictorial pa the people in the first scheduled baptism. Nakaramdam naman that it was almost 12noon already so one by one they went out of the baptism room.
Yehey!! It was our turn na! =) Here are Maeko's proud parents, JR and Michelle. In fairness sa priest ha? He memorized all the things that he had to say in the ceremony, including the Gospel! No kodigo on hand! Bongga si father!
Around them are Maeko's Ninongs and Ninangs. Hindi pa daw lahat nakapunta nyan pero ang dami na namin! Lol! Can you hear Arnaiz in the backround? "Ang dami daming ninong at ninang, ano ba yan?!" Hahaha! I love you mare!
My camera's battery gave up on me right after the christening ceremony. I borrowed the photos of the after ceremony pictorial from Pineda and the reception photos from Arnaiz =)

The reception was held at the clubhouse of Woodsville Viverde Mansion. Fresh air, natural light, good food and good company made it super enjoyable.

The place was styled by Queensland catering. The place looked amazing in touches of pink and other girlie colors!
LT: Wow ang ganda ng paper roses!
ME: Tunay kaya yan.
LT: Onga, paper roses ang tawag sa flowers na yan.
Ah okay =) Hehe. Ganda the flowers noh?
Here's a photo of Arnaiz with Anika (and with Andrew, Arnaiz's better half). Arnaiz is one of Anika's favorite godmothers. I dunno why but for some reasons, Anika would go with Arnaiz everytime they see each other. Eh ang pihikan pa naman niyang batang yan sa sinasamahan. Maybe because ang puti ni Arnaiz. Mukhang mayaman kaya kids like her! Hahahaha!
 |
| Thank you ninang for these super kyoot slippers! |
The part I love most in the reception is Maeko's cake corner. It was designed by Queensland catering and the cakes were from
Cru Kitchen.
THE CAKES WERE DELICIOUS!!!!!! Great idea pala to have a variety of delicious cakes instead of one cake.
They had the Belgian Chocolate, Decadence, Red Velvet, Carrot Walnut and Almond Sansrival, I especially liked the Red Velvet cake and the Decadence which is the Quezo De Bola cheese cake! I'm craving for it tuloy as I'm typing this!
Here's Maeko's mom, Michelle who looks so slim in her outfit =) I so love her pants!!
 |
| Outfit: Top from Forever 21, pants from The Ramp, belt fromForever 21, shoes from Steve Madden |
Here's Ava's mom, Jenny. I love her top too!
 |
| Outfit: Top from Maldita, jeans from Mango and sandals from Charles & Keith |
I wanted to take more outfit photos but was so dyahe to do it. Ang gaganda pa naman the clothes that they were wearing lalo na the mother and grandmother of Michelle! Sayang. Eto namang si Vivian and Arnaiz, ayaw magpapicture! Hmp. Next time, kakapalan ko na fez ko to ask party guests what their wearing =)
The food was catered by Queensland catering. Ang sarap promise! I especially liked the pasta, barbecued meat and the fish tempura. Yummy!!
 |
| This is me feeding Anika while trying my best not to eat all the food in the plate. Ang sarap eh! |
Here's the super happy mom with the adorable Kaitlyn Maeko.
And just before we left the reception, we had our photos taken from the photobooth of
Hollybooth Photobooth!
I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos, says Maeko =)
Congratulations Daddy JR and Mommy Michelle for the successful event!
Welcome to the Christian world Baby Maeko! We love you!
