Sombrero Sitcom: Pidro

Earlier this evening, while waiting for Alvin to arrive home from work, Anika and I were playing a game. I ask her if she loves the people that I do a roll call on. Like this...

ME: Do you love Tatay?

ANIKA: Yes!

ME: Umm.. Do you love Lola Lydia?


ANIKA: Yes!



ME: Umm.. Do you love Wowa?


ANIKA: Yes!



ME: Umm.. Do you love Ipis?


ANIKA: No!!!





ME: Umm.. Do you love Barney?


ANIKA: Yes!



We went on and on like that until I ran out of people to ask about. I was thinking sino pa ang itatanong ko while she looks expectantly at me. Nung tumagal tagal na..

ANIKA: Pidro!

ME: Who baby?

ANIKA: Me love Pidro!

Ohhh.. PEDRO! Her 1 year and 8 months poging classmate in toddler class. Girlie seriously needs to work on her pronunciation.

And then Alvin arrived. I was making kwento to him about what happened. Anika was also there with us in the room.

ME: Babe, si Anika sabi niya kanina love daw niya si Pedro.

ANIKA: Me love Pidro!

ALVIN: No Anika! I don't like that!

To our surprise, Anika cried! As in mega cried!

ANIKA: Nooo!! Me love Pidro!! Me love Pidro, Nanay!

And then while crying, she started throwing the stuff toys on her bed to the floor. She threw her milk bottle on the floor. She threw her pillows on the floor. And then she jumped on her bed face down.

ANIKA: Nooo! Me love Pidro!!

She was crying so much already that I had to get her. I embraced her while rocking her.

ME: Okay anak. It's okay. Sige na love mo na si Pedro.

ALVIN: San ba nakatira yang Pedro na yan? Ayoko ng ganyan ha (Alvin was further teasing Anika)

ANIKA: Noooooo! Nanay noooo!! Me love Pidro!!!

I told Alvin to quit teasing her kasi she gets a runny nose when she cries.

Girlie was laughing the whole time! Nakikita na daw niya ang future. Hahahaha!

Surprised as I was, I analyzed what happened. Pedro pala kasi is the baby in Anika's toddler class. Anika actually tries to teach Pedro what she knows. So in a sense, she parang acts like Pedro's big sister in class.

Yown pala. That's why she loves Pidro este Pedro! =)

Overacting na naman ang Tatay! Lol! =)
